Tips to help protect you and your home against high winds

Put the following RSA claims number 0345 072 7147 in your phone with your policy number as reference
Secure garden furniture like trampolines, wheelie bins and plant pots so that these can’t blow around
Make sure fences and gates have been secured as these are not covered under your policy
Download the Met Office app to your phone, this will allow you to keep up to date
If you have time and it is safe – inspect your roof to ensure you don’t have any loose or broken tiles. These could blow off and damage your property further or injure somebody

If you have been affected by high winds

  • Stay indoors and keep safe until the high winds have passed
  • Once it is safe to do so, take photos and make a list of all damaged items
  • Ring the claims number below as soon as you can to let them know what’s happened
