How to transfer funds between your Chelsea Building Society online accounts

Go to the 'My Accounts' screen, click on the account you are transferring from. Then, select the 'Transfer Money' option.

Go to the 'Chelsea Building Society accounts' list and select the account you'd like to transfer funds to. If you don't see your account, select 'Transfer to new account'. Then, enter the amount you'd like to transfer.

To transfer funds to an account already in your list, you just need to check and confirm the transfer. If it's a new account, enter the 10-digit account number and confirm. You can add any of your Chelsea Building Society accounts to your list to make it easier in future. 


How long will it take?

If you make the transfer before 8pm, the funds will show in the destination account immediately. If you make the transfer later than this, the funds won't show until after midnight. 

Please note:

  • The amount you can transfer to another savings account will depend on whether there are any restrictions on that account
  • If you're making overpayments on your mortgage, you may incur early repayment charges
  • Check your terms and conditions to find out about any restrictions.

How to set up a regular transfer

Go to the 'My Accounts' screen, click on the account you are transferring from. Then, select the 'Transfer Money' option.

Select 'Regular transfers' and then 'New regular transfer' on the next screen.

Enter the details of the new destination account, the amount to transfer, when you want the first payment to be made and the frequency of your payment (e.g. weekly, monthly etc).

Please note:
You should make sure there are enough funds for the transfer in your account on the day of the payment.
